My modern rhetoric teacher want's me to "sell things on ebay." We have to use this five tools. Purpose, Audience, Genre, Tone, Point of View. Can you give me some advice? please and thank you.

Hi there,

First yo uneed an Item to sell. DOnt think too hard on this one what ever you have lying around that you dont want anymore is perfect.

Wash is - Make sure its shiny and clean and repair any damage.

This is Your first item for sale. (If you have a bunch of the same stuff you could sell them all , like your old matchbox cars or a pile of heavy jumpers if you now live in Hawai.)

Go out side and take pictures of the item. Treat each item seperatly. Take photos of any Damage- this wont hurt your sales it will show people the faults and they will choose if they don mind. Better they want an item in its truth then get disapointed later- this is impoortant.

Create an Ebay account, follow the process. Load and price the item NO reserve. Lets face it you dont care if you make a few dollars or not, it was collecting dust.

Purpose- Clear out room Make a few bucks for cleaning products

Audience - Worldwide bagin Hunters looking for jumpers - Net savvy, confident.

Genre- Sales

Tone- Honest simple and direct- (reaches more of your audience and increases chance of sale)

Point of veiw - Tell a brief story about the items Life. IE- This Jumper is hand knitted by a local artist named, originally gifted to the reciever in 2000. It has only seen one winter. Was always hand washed and line dried in Shade- No stains or damage. Snowflake design is unique one off.

Write it all down like a printed report and bang your done.
