I drive a 1998 Nissan Maxima SE-L, and I was looking into Air Intakes, Cat-backs, custom exhausts, and custom mufflers…..except from what I know, I will not see that performance on an automatic transmission car, it would work much better on a manual transmission. Is this true, or am I wrong? By the way do not laugh at me, I have a little engine knowledge, and I just want to have a bit of fun on the highways, and racing. I’ve always been good at car audio, not so much engines so please help me out in anyway possible, thanks……and also, do auto repair shops install these parts?
They will have the same effect on an automatic as they would on a manual. And yes, you can pay them to install these things. Although you can really do the intake yourself, its not that hard.
