Where is the valet switch on a 2001 Toyota Echo sedan?

My car came with a factory installed alarm system. I bought a replacement key fob for the alarm. In order to get my car to recognize the new key fob, I need to hit the valet switch 5 times. I looked everywhere I could think of: on the dashboard, under the dashboard, inside the dashboard… I even pulled up the carpet. Where is the darn thing?Try these instructions for the Toyota Yaris from the same generation instead (the Echo was the US name for that body style/generation of Yaris):
