Does anyone know how to tell if a 2006 Chevy Impala LS has remote keyless entry?

Question by ryan: Does anyone know how to tell if a 2006 Chevy Impala LS has remote keyless entry? I purchased the car at auction. It was owned by the federal government (fleet car), and didn’t come with any of the keyless remotes. I purchased a remote off Ebay, and went to program it, but the DIC (driver info center) in the car “blanks out” when I get to the “program remote entry” function. Does anyone happen to know if this car came standard with remote entry. Does anyone know the “RPO” code for it? Thank you

Answer by HyperGforceRyan please call your local chevy dealers parts dept.They will ask you for the last eight numbers of the impalas VIN. With this info they will be able to tell you if this impala came fractory with keyless entry.Best of luck.
